Polka Dot Skirt
Self drafted pattern.
2 pocket / Low Rise / Midi Length.
Adjustable width ties on side hem.
Hidden back zipper.
No lining - Bias finished.
Cotton.
Gathered Top
Draped and sewn.
Jersey.
Top is gathered at the shoulder and side seams for front and back. Gathers were draped, pinned, and then sewn. Neckline, armholes, and bottom hem were overlocked with fold-over bands made from the same fabric.
Entire outfit is handmade; shirt, skirt, and hand-warmers.
I love polka dots. They always bring a playful energy. I bought this 3 yard fabric steal for $1 at a scrap store and knew exactly what pattern I wanted to make once I saw it unroll.
